I own a duplex in Colrain, Mass.I renovated this building using Franklin County Regional Housing Authority funds. The requirement of renting to low to moderate income tenants has just expired.  I have lived on one side of the duplex  and am now moving to New Hampshire. I may be looking for someone in Franklin County to manage the property depending on how well living out of state goes in the first year. I am looking forward to utilizing all of the advantages of this membership. I have made many mistakes in who i chose to rent to. I recently spent a year evicting an intolerable tenant. Whether I live next door to tenants or my tenants do, I need to be very careful to make choices of tenants that are compatible with each other. It's hard to get a less than desirable tenant out in Massachusetts . we take good care of our property and are happy (we think) to have found good tenants after three that turned out to be real challenges. I too would rather learn from others mistakes in the future than make any more of my own.
