The flyer includes basic information about certification, a space for your name and a QR code so certification can be verified in real time through our landlord database. By member request, it is designed to fit a standard document frame for display purposes at open houses or in your office.

What Is Certification?

Certification is a voluntary program for members that shows you are committed to running the best rentals possible.

There are three levels of certification. A Level One Certified Massachusetts Landlord™ has committed to best housing practices. This is a provisional designation. A Level Two certification shows the landlord has passed a challenging test that proves they are knowledgeable about Massachusetts laws governing rental properties and how to operate using best practices. And those with Level Three status have committed to continuing their landlord education, participating in regular opportunities to refresh their knowledge base.

Every level of certification builds on the next. A Level Two landlord must still be committed to the best practices a Level One landlord has promised to adhere to, and so on.
