Rental Housing Association of Greater Springfield joins MassLandlords.net

Springfield, MA (April 2, 2015) – Today the President of the Rental Housing Association of Greater Springfield (RHAGS, pronounced “rags”) started a service contract with the Worcester Property Owners Association d/b/a MassLandlords.net to provide RHAGS members with benefits and savings. Approximately 200 landlords representing an undisclosed number of residential units are expected to be enrolled over the next 24 hours.
Over 700 landlords state-wide already participate as paid members of MassLandlords.net. The addition of RHAGS members will bring paid membership to over 900.
The contract gives RHAGS members access to savings at local retailers. RHAGS members will also get premium website access. Members can download rental forms, register for local events, stay up to date on rental-related news, and participate in an online message board for emergency advice and support.
Doug Quattrochi, Executive Director of MassLandlords.net, said, “RHAGS is a significant partnership because they represent a major population center with a very vibrant landlord community. We’re delighted to have earned their trust with our service agreement.”
In a message to members, Russell Sabadosa, President of RHAGS, said, “We are excited to work with executive director Doug Quattrochi who is a full time plus staff person growing the services of landlord groups across the state.”
MassLandlords.net is a 501(c)6 trade association with the mission to improve the quality of rental housing in Massachusetts. Both MassLandlords.net and RHAGS will remain autonomous for the time being. They intend to collaborate on public policy advocacy.
RHAGS was formed in 1935.
MassLandlords.net was launched in early 2014 following the restructuring of the Worcester Property Owners Association (WPOA) in late 2013. The WPOA was founded originally in the 1940’s.
