How to Apply for RAFT

This presentation reviews the Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) "Owner Door". Since late fall 2020, owners have been able to apply for RAFT on behalf of our renters.  Get up to $7,000 for eligible renters to pay rent.

We start with a review of how the RAFT program works:

  • Is my renter eligible?
  • Does it matter if they are undocumented?
  • How long does it take?
  • Where do I apply?

We then review step-by-step the RAFT application for a major regional administrator:

  • Acceptable forms of renter authorization
  • Identification
  • Proof of income or lack thereof
  • Proof of tenancy
  • Proof of ownership

Learn how to apply for RAFT on behalf of a renter and where to get started.
