Last Month’s Rent Annual Statement

Each year, landlords who took last month's rent in advance must issue a Last Month's Rent Annual Statement like the one below.

The penalties for failing to issue this statement are much less serious than the Security Deposit law. You will owe interest and attorney's fees, but not three times the amount of the Last Month's Rent.

You should still comply because attorney's fees can be substantial.
