Southern Worcester County Landlord Association Begins MassLandlords.net Service Contract

Worcester, MA (October 07, 2014) – Yesterday the President of the Southern Worcester County Landlord Association (SWCLA) signed a service contract with the Worcester Property Owners Association d/b/a MassLandlords.net to provide SWCLA members with digital services. Approximately 80 landlords representing an undisclosed number of residential units are expected to be enrolled over the next two months.

The contract provides individual member log-in information for MassLandlords.net premium content, including rental forms. It also provides SWCLA with a MassLandlords.net page, digital payments, and an email newsletter. MassLandlords.net will help to produce and deliver digital content.

Doug Quattrochi, Executive Director of MassLandlords.net, said, “We’re delighted to welcome Southern Worcester County onto the site. They are the first of hopefully many.”

Earlier this year SWCLA’s membership voted to withdraw from participation in the Massachusetts Rental Housing Association (MRHA), formerly the recognized state-wide umbrella organization.

MassLandlords.net is a 501(c)6 trade association with the mission to improve the quality of rental housing in Massachusetts. Both MassLandlords.net and SWCLA will remain autonomous for the time being. They will likely collaborate on marketing and on additional landlord services, including educational meetings in southern Worcester County.

SWCLA was formed in 1979. MassLandlords.net was launched in early 2014 following the restructuring of the Worcester Property Owners Association (WPOA) in late 2013. The WPOA was founded originally in the 1940’s.
