Rental agreements are a roadmap for landlord-tenant relationships,
but what happens when one side says another isn’t holding up their
end of the bargain? Dispute resolution may take many forms.

We’ll look at the qualities of a rental agreement that tend to
prevent disputes escalating, and then we’ll discuss the various
options for resolving disputes:

• Conversation
• Community mediation
• Going to court
• Pre-trial mediation
• Mediated agreements for judgment
• Cash-for-keys agreements

Part of this presentation will given by attorney Adam
Sherwin. Adam is an experienced real estate litigator with years of
experience representing landlords, property owners, and other real
estate professionals. He has extensive experience litigating real
estate disputes before judges and juries and has obtained favorable
decisions from the Massachusetts Appeals Court and District Court
Appellate Division. He is also a long-time crash course instructor
at the Cambridge headquarters and now virtually over zoom.
