MassLandlords.net Soft Launch!

After more than a year of planning at the Worcester Property Owners Association, we've finally soft-launched our brand new, state-wide landlord education website.  We're so excited.  (Soft-launch means that only a select few will be invited to preview the site at this stage.  That's necessary while we work out the kinks.)

I remember when I first joined the Worcester Property Owners Association.  Their website was something from the GeoCities era.  The icon for the October meeting was an animated gif "witch-on-a-broomstick."  It was great for its day.  That was the WPOA's first site.  How far the web has come.

Our second website was powered by Google Sites.  Again, very nice for its time.  And you can't beat free!  Sadly, Google stopped supporting it and the tools never really kept pace.  It was difficult to navigate the back-end and some things, like our meeting calendar, were always out of date.  Very unfortunate.  Still, it did its job.  Here's an Internet archive screenshot from that upgrade:

I would have loved to show you animated gif "witch-on-a-broomstick" site from 2008, but sadly, the Internet archive didn't take a picture of it.

Now we've saved up and invested in this new website.  And we've broadened our mission to help landlords state-wide.  This is a good time for the Worcester Property Owners Association.  And thanks to this great website company we were lucky to meet, it got up and running within a short time from official contract start.
