Northern Worcester County Landlord Association Joins MassLandlords, Inc.

Fitchburg, MA (March 29, 2018) – Today the Northern Worcester County Landlord Association (NWCLA.com) started a service contract with MassLandlords, Inc. to provide NWCLA members with services and savings. Approximately one hundred forty (140) landlords representing perhaps as many as 1,700 rental units are expected to enroll over the course of the next year.

The contract gives NWCLA members access to savings on paint, downloadable rental forms, online message boards for emergency advice and support, a free trial to collect checks online, and much more.

Doug Quattrochi, Executive Director of MassLandlords, said, “NWCLA has a culture of being well-run and consensus-oriented. They are a role model for civic participation in the Commonwealth.”

Brian Lucier, NWCLA President said, “From the initial conception to become a regional chapter of MassLandlords, the NWCLA Board of Directors has been carefully reviewing the programs and benefits to see how this partnership would overall dovetail with the services and benefits we are currently offering our NWCLA members. There have been many meetings, debates, questions, and back-and-forth reviewing contract revisions to get us to this point and we could not be more thrilled with the offering we are now able to provide NWCLA members rolling out in 2018. The NWCLA’s primary focus has always been to help our members become better landlords by providing education, resources, programs, meetings, and open forums to discuss the hurdles, objectives, and best-business-practices for being a Massachusetts Landlord. Becoming a regional chapter of MassLandlords will absolutely increase the level of combined benefits we can offer our members and accelerate the future business growth for our landlords.”

NWCLA first met in 2002. Their objective is to share information and encouragement with their members to promote professionalism, sound management practices, healthy housing and stability in the rental housing business. NWCLA is a non-profit with an all-volunteer board of directors.

MassLandlords was launched in early 2014 following the restructuring of the Worcester Property Owners Association (WPOA) in late 2013. The WPOA was founded originally in the 1940’s. MassLandlords is a 501(c)6 trade association with the mission to create better rental housing in Massachusetts. MassLandlords helps owners rent their property and advocates for better laws.

To date, nine regional groups like NWCLA have joined MassLandlords.

Landlords interested in signing up for membership in NWCLA can visit MassLandlords.net/NWCLA. NWCLA members meet on the second Thursday of every month except July and August at Monty Tech in Fitchburg. Future event details to be published at MassLandlords.net/Events and NWCLA.com.
