Legally Avoiding Paying Taxes
2017 is over and it's time to think about taxes. Do you qualify for the real estate professional exemption? Is your current legal entity or lack thereof the best you can do? Most importantly, how can you legally avoid paying tax? We'll be diving into depreciation, segregation studies, and recapture so that you can either DIY or better supervise your accountant. We'll make reference to 1031 exchanges, which can save hundreds of thousands on sale. And we will also be highlighting what we know about the so-called "Trump Tax Reform" signed into law December 22, 2017.
The tax presentation will be given by Steve Thebodo, CPA at O'Connor, Maloney & Company, P.C., based in Worcester.

You're welcome to bring things like: business cards, brochures, items that could have a second life with someone who needs them, etc. The only catch is that we don't have storage at the school, so the registration desk staff usually throw away what's not taken at the end of the night. So we ask that you bring things in limited quantities as not to waste.
