Many, many landlords are eligible to receive low-cost or no-cost refrigerators, boilers, insulation, and weather-stripping because their tenants are eligible for fuel assistance. Program participation is not required. This is not MassSave. Landlords who own 1-4 unit multifamilies are eligible.
Mary Knittle, Director of Energy Resources at the Worcester Community Action Council, Inc. will be presenting program details. These programs are available in Worcester, Auburn, Brookfield, Boylston, Charlton, Charlton City, Charlton Depot, Douglas, Dudley, East Brookfield, Holden, Jefferson, Leicester, Cherry Valley, Rochdale, Millbury, North Brookfield, Oakham, Oxford, North Oxford, Paxton, Rutland, Southbridge, Spencer, Sturbridge, Fiskdale, Sutton, Manchaug, Warren, West Warren, Webster, West Boylston, and West Brookfield.
Do you have a Written Information Security Program? Are you compliant with MGL Chapter 93H and 201 CMR 17? Find out how you can prevent identify theft both for yourself and for your tenants, comply with the law, and make life easier for your company in a digital age. We'll cover the fundamentals of data backup, password vaults, secure web browsing, Internet and hard drive encryption, email tracking, and WISP's, and why anti-virus software has been made obsolete by anti-malware.
This strictly educational, no sales-pitch segment will be presented by Rick Porter, President of Cinch IT, Inc. Cinch IT is an information technology company with 23 reviews averaging a full five out of five stars. Cinch IT offers tech support, network security, backup and disaster recovery, website design, cloud computing, and legal compliance. Rick will be presenting slides prepared by MassLandlords designed to meet our educational objectives for attendees, and will be available for follow-up questions during networking before and after.
The American Red Cross Central MA Chapter is running a "Home Fire Safety Campaign." MassLandlords members have already received hundreds of free smoke detectors, and ARC have thousands more to give away!
Susan Shaw of ARC Disaster Programming will close out our meeting by breifly explaining how the Home Fire Safety Campaign conducts tenant education, site-visits, and free battery-op detector installation. At the event, attendees will be able to register and schedule their property visits. You don't want to miss out on this!
