Statewide Virtual Meeting Wed May 11: Insulation and Air Sealing for Lower Bills, Greater Comfort and Climate

This presentation will review the Mass Save® insulation and air sealing program for rental properties of all sizes.

Mass Save® and associated programs are offering landlords full building insulation, air sealing, and weatherization with generous incentives. Starting with the new three-year plan in 2022, for 1-4 unit buildings, "generous" means 100% of costs are covered by the program for rental units. For landlords with 5 units or more, 75% to 90% of costs will be covered. There is no catch: we have already paid for this on our utility bills, in the "Energy Efficiency Chg" line item.

How to save thousands of dollars in capital costs per unit.
How a 30% lower heating bill is possible with attic and wall insulation.
Special situations including electrical meters, brick and aluminum siding, and low-setback buildings.

He serves on the Board of Directors for the Better Business Bureau and holds a Construction Supervisor License.

Networking time will be moderated by Patrick Sullivan. Patrick has been an avid landlord since 2007 primarily focusing on multi families in the greater Worcester area. Having worked in high level IT his whole life he looks at things from a different perspective which he applies to real estate. He became a Real Estate agent in 2015 and now primarily focuses on Sober living facilities for people recently out of drug and alcohol treatment centers. Patrick sits on the statewide MassLandlords Board of Directors.
